Frequently Asked Questions

General Questions

Who carries out the treatments?

All treatments at Pro Nurse Aesthetics are carried out by registered nurses with clinical experience and specialist aesthetic training. Your safety, wellbeing, and comfort are always our priority.

Do I need a consultation before treatment?
Yes. All treatments begin with a face-to-face consultation. This allows us to assess suitability, discuss your goals, explain the treatment, and ensure it is safe and appropriate for you.
Are treatments safe?
When delivered by trained professionals following appropriate consultation, aesthetic treatments are considered safe. As registered nurses, we work to clinical standards and only recommend treatments that are suitable for you.
Do you offer treatments to under 18s?
No. Treatments are available to clients aged 18 and over only.

Anti-Wrinkle Treatments

What are anti-wrinkle injections?
Anti-wrinkle injections are prescription-only medicines used to relax targeted facial muscles, helping to soften the appearance of lines and wrinkles while maintaining natural expression.
How long do anti-wrinkle treatments last?
Results typically last 3–4 months, although this can vary from person to person.
When will I see results?
Initial results usually begin to appear within a few days, with full results visible after around 10–14 days.
Is a top-up included?
Yes. A review appointment is included, and a complimentary top-up may be offered if clinically appropriate.

Dermal Fillers

What are dermal fillers used for?
Dermal fillers are used to restore volume, enhance facial contours, and improve balance. Common treatment areas include lips, cheeks, jawline, and chin.
Will I look overfilled?
No. We take a conservative, natural approach to dermal fillers. Treatments are carefully planned to enhance your features without overfilling or altering your natural appearance.
How long do dermal fillers last?
Results vary depending on the area treated and the product used, but typically last between 6–18 months.

Skin & Collagen Treatments

What is microneedling?
Microneedling is a collagen-stimulating treatment designed to improve skin texture, tone, and overall skin quality by encouraging the skin’s natural healing response.
How many microneedling sessions will I need?
This depends on your individual skin concerns. A course of treatments is often recommended for optimal results, which will be discussed during consultation.
Is there any downtime?
Mild redness or sensitivity may occur following treatment, but this usually settles within a short period. Aftercare advice is provided.

Wellness & Vitamin Injections

What is Vitamin B12 used for?
Vitamin B12 injections may help support energy levels, focus, and general wellbeing by replenishing essential vitamin levels.
How often will I need B12 injections?
Treatment plans vary. Some clients begin with a loading course, followed by maintenance injections every 8–12 weeks, depending on individual needs.
Are wellness injections a replacement for medical care?
No. Wellness injections are not a substitute for medical treatment and are provided as part of a supportive wellbeing approach.
